I'm taking a little bit of an interlude in my review of the Google Slapper course created by Jay Deiboldt and I've moved onto the 3 information packed Market Domination videos that are included with the Google Slapper product. The great part about these videos is that Jay starts from scratch and shows you how to go about finding a niche to target.
This is likely the most difficult and most important step in getting your affiliate campaign started on the right foot- finding the ideal niche. What is the ideal niche? It really all depends on who you are and what you want to do. Jay goes for high-commission, big ticket items, and he shows you how to do the same. This is one of his criteria for finding the right niche. So how do you find the right niche?
Finding the right niche is a topic to which many marketing courses don't give enough regard. I have spent tons of green on marketing programs that are very aloof and casual when it comes to niche selection. The weight they give niche selection is along the lines of "Find your niche. Got it? Great, now get going!" It's just not that simple. It's crucial that you find the right niche for you that matches with your strategy and long term profit goals so that you're not promoting something for peanuts which isn't likely to sell. It's also important to know which markets are overly competitive.
Google Slapper gives some non-traditional advice on choosing a niche. I won't give too much information away about this because then I'd risk giving Google Slapper course secrets away for free, but I'll say that Google Slapper may have you stretching your limits a little, which is a good thing. Oftentimes that's exactly what is called for when looking to make a buck.
